Juan Pablo Montoya joined CIBC Capital Markets in March 2019 as a Director of Corporate and Investment Banking, Latin America. Based in Bogota, Colombia, he leads the execution of M&A and Capital Markets projects and participates in the origination of new mandates in the region. Prior to CIBC Capital Markets, Mr. Montoya worked for over nine years in the Latin America Investment Banking team at a competing firm, both in the New York and Bogota offices. Mr. Montoya has extensive M&A, ECM and DCM experience across diverse sectors in Latin America, including power and utilities, oil and gas, infrastructure, telecom and financial institutions. Mr. Montoya graduated Magna Cum Laude in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes and holds a Masters of Business Administration with Honors from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Estefania Leon joined the Bogotá team of John Laing in 2020 as Investment Director. Previously she was Head of Infrastructure and Energy Co-Lead at leading Colombian investment bank Inverlink. Ms Leon has focused her career in public and private sector expertise and has worked on a wide range of 4G PPP projects, private initiatives and core plus infrastructure projects.

Jaime Otero

Head of Corporate Finance, Colombia at Itau
- Mr. Otero joined Itaú in October 2012, as part of the Corporate Finance team of Itaú BBA Corporación Financiera in Colombia. Since March, 2017, once Itaú took control of Corpbanca operations in Colombia, Mr. Otero acts as Head of Corporate Finance of Itaú Colombia.
- Prior to joining Itaú, Mr. Otero worked for Inverlink, an investment banking boutique in Colombia, as VP for two years. Previously he worked in Sumatoria, other investment banking boutique in Colombia, as an Associate for ten years, and before that, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Corficolombiana in Bogotá, as an Analyst for two years.
- Mr. Otero holds a B.S in Industrial Engineering and a Master degree in Economics, both from Universidad de los Andes, in Bogotá, Colombia.
