Jean van de Walle is CIO of Sycamore Capital, a firm which manages emerging markets and global allocation strategies. He has three decades of investment experience in emerging markets, in private equity and as a portfolio manager of Latin American and global emerging market equities, most recently with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and previously with AllianceBernstein in New York and Citibank in Brazil. He also worked at Bunge Corp in Brazil and as a reporter for the Wall Street Journal and Time Magazine. Van de Walle holds an MBA from the Wharton School and an MA from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. van de Walle also is an adjunct professor at NYU’s Stern Business School where he teaches a class on investing in emerging markets.
